Dunlop Motorcycle Tires have extended its official tire support for American Flat Track (AFT) racing once again and is continuing the successful Team Dunlop Elite Flat Track program to support amateur racers to include minibike racers.
In addition to being the official tire of AFT for the sixth straight year, Dunlop will continue to expand its Team Dunlop Elite Flat Track program and support riders with their newly introduced 17” DT4 tire.
“The Team Dunlop Elite program is something we all take pride in as it demonstrates our dedication to amateur racing and the young generation of racers,” said Mike Buckley, Dunlop Sr. Vice President of Sales/Marketing. “We are expecting the Flat Track program to expand just as our Motocross program has over the years.”
Like the Team Dunlop Elite motocross program, the Team Dunlop Flat Track Elite program includes select amateur racers who will receive unique benefits and support on and off the track. In addition to the Elite riders, any amateur flat track racers can apply for tire discounts through teamdunlop.com.
For its junior season, Team Dunlop Flat Track Elite riders include returning riders: Jessica Reynolds, Dominic DeMario, Evan Renshaw, Bradon Pfanders and Travis Horn. New to the team
will be Adam Costan, Colton Shafer and Braxton Ragan all of which will be on the new 17” DT4!
Team Dunlop was formed 16 years ago to help amateur motocross racers obtain tire support and receive more exposure so they could chase their goal of becoming pro riders. Today, the Team Dunlop Elite amateur motocross program has successfully helped many riders make a transition to the professional ranks, including Eli Tomac, Adam Cianciarulo, Chase Sexton, Justin Barcia, Blake Baggett, Ashley Fiolek, Justin
Bogle, Jessy Nelson, Austin Forkner, and Joey Savatgy among others.
Dunlop hopes the Team Dunlop Flat Track Elite program will assist riders in their journey to the professional ranks, just as their motocross alumni have over the years.
“We are very excited to
continue with the Team Dunlop Elite Flat Track amateur program and expand it to support the minibike racers,” said Rob Fox, Dunlop Amateur Motocross/Flat Track Support Manager. “We worked very hard on developing a new 17” tire for the mini racers and want to showcase its potential with our new Team Dunlop Elite members.”
